Ganderbal, November 7:In a heartfelt tribute to India’s national song “Vande Mataram” on its 150ᵗʰ anniversary, Ganderbal Police on Friday organized a commemorative event at District Police Lines (DPL) Ganderbal celebrating the spirit of patriotism and unity enshrined in the timeless composition by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee.
The event was presided over by Additional Superintendent of Police Ganderbal, Shri Owaise Loun–JKPS, who reflected on the historical and cultural significance of Vande Mataram, calling it “a symbol of national pride that ignited the flame of freedom and continues to inspire generations.”
Officers and officials of District Police Ganderbal collectively rendered Vande Mataram during the ceremony, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the ideals of integrity, peace, and national unity represented by the song.
The programme concluded with an address emphasizing the importance of remembering the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters and nurturing the spirit of patriotism among the youth.
Reiterating its commitment to nation-building, Ganderbal Police pledged to continue fostering harmony, nationalism, and a spirit of dedicated service to the nation.
