Ganderbal, Oct 22: A wild bear attacked a man in an orchard at Manigam, leaving him grievously injured.
Reports said the man was immediately taken to PHC Manigam for initial treatment and later referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced medical care.
He was later identified as Zahoor Ahmad Chopan, son of Sonaullah Chopan, a resident of Watshan Manigam, Ganderbal.
Meanwhile, officials have been informed, while locals have urged the Wildlife Department to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the area.
