Ganderbal, October 13:In a major breakthrough against organized crime and to strengthen law and order in the district, Ganderbal Police have arrested a notorious criminal and absconder, Showkat Ahmad Bhat S/O Abdul Ahad Bhat R/O Urpash Ganderbal, who was wanted in 13 different FIRs registered across multiple police stations in Jammu, Srinagar, Kargil, and Ganderbal districts.
The accused was involved in a series of grave offences including theft, criminal assault, unnatural offence, vehicle lifting, criminal trespass, and possession of arms and ammunition. Despite repeated attempts, the accused had managed to evade arrest for the past four years, frequently changing locations to avoid police action.

His arrest marks a significant success for Ganderbal Police in their sustained crackdown against habitual and dangerous offenders operating in the district.
