Ganderbal, September 05:In its continued drive against the menace of drugs, Ganderbal Police apprehended a drug peddler during routine patrolling in Preng area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kangan.
According to officials, a police party intercepted a suspicious person who was later identified as Farhad Khan, son of Mohd Arifeen Khan, resident of Gujarpati Preng. During his personal search, a contraband substance resembling charas was recovered on the spot.
Subsequently, a case under FIR No. 58/2025 was registered at Police Station Kangan under sections 08/20 of the NDPS Act. Investigation has been taken up.
Ganderbal Police reiterated its commitment to eradicating the drug menace from the district and urged the public to cooperate by sharing information regarding drug peddling or other anti-social activities.
