GANDERBAL, MARCH 31: The District Administration Ganderbal today organized a warm and heartfelt farewell function in honour of Tehsildar Gund, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, on his superannuation after rendering 36 years of dedicated service in the Revenue Department.

 

Addressing the occasion, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore lauded the retiring officer’s long and distinguished service, describing his career as exemplary. He said that his three decades in public service reflected strong commitment and sincerity towards duty.

 

The DC commended his pivotal role during the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025, noting that his dedication and tireless efforts, even during challenging times were truly commendable. He added that the officer remained actively engaged in field duties till his last days in service, reflecting his deep sense of responsibility.

 

Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the significant contributions of the retiring officer. He highlighted that Manzoor Ahmad Bhat possesses profound knowledge of revenue administration and has served in several challenging areas.

 

Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ganderbal, in his address, praised the officer’s professionalism, integrity, and commitment towards public service. He noted that his experience and understanding of the nuances of revenue work have been a guiding force for younger officers and officials.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat expressed gratitude to the administration and colleagues. Reflecting on his journey, he shared that he joined service in 1989 under difficult family circumstances and served with dedication throughout his career. He advised young officers to uphold honesty, discipline, and respect in their professional lives.

 

The function concluded with presentation of gifts and best wishes to the retiring officer for his healthy and fulfilling post-retirement life.
