Bandipora, Nov 23:Bandipora Police on Sunday organized a public Darbar at Dak Bungalow Sumbal to enhance community outreach and reinforce police-public relations. The interactive event was chaired by SSP Bandipora Shri Ajaz Ahmed Zargar (JKPS) and witnessed active participation from locals of Sumbal and adjoining areas.
The program was attended by SDPO Sumbal, SHO PS Sumbal, and other senior officers. Representatives from civil society, trade bodies, transport unions, and general public members raised various issues and shared valuable suggestions for improving policing and public service delivery.
During the session, SSP Bandipora held detailed discussions on matters related to public safety, crime prevention, anti-narcotics campaigns, and other law and order challenges. He assured the participants that all grievances related to police functioning would be addressed on priority and issues pertaining to civil administration would be taken up with the concerned authorities for timely redressal.
Reaffirming the commitment of the police to peace and stability, SSP Zargar emphasized intensified action against anti-national and anti-social elements, calling for public cooperation and vigilance to maintain harmony in the district.
Participants welcomed the initiative and appreciated Bandipora Police for organizing regular public interaction programmes aimed at building trust, improving communication, and strengthening community partnership.
